Made with MAGIX www.nix-oceanpix.com I visited Marsa Alam in February 2006, traveling with Regal Dive, diving with Emperor Divers and staying at the Coral Beach Diving Hotel (now called Marina Lodge). A very easy journey with 5.5 hours flying time from Gatwick to Marsa Alam then a 15 minute transfer to the hotel. The Hotel was opened in July 2005 and still feels very new. Rooms and general hotel facilities, including food, were of a good standard. We dived every day but one from an Emperor boat at local dive sites and Elphinstone Reef. We spent one day at Abou Dabab which is a very pleasant local shore dive. No sign of Denis the Dugong though!
