About Me
There was no turning back the
moment I undertook a try-dive in
June 2001. I was well and truly
hooked. Ten years and hundreds of
dives later I am no less enthusiastic
and make every opportunity to get
underwater.
I’ve been a PADI Open Water Instructor since December 2008 and have
certified in a few other areas that help me with the diving I enjoy
including BSAC Extended Range Diver and PSA Trimix.
I am just as happy in a wetsuit with a single tank and a camera as I am
in a dry-suit, twin set and stage cylinders. What’s important is having a
passion to get out there and do something you enjoy.
Welcome to Nix-Oceanpix
As the site name suggests,
my name is Nick and I enjoy
scuba diving and underwater
photography. You can
normally find me jumping off
a boat somewhere enjoying
a dive and trying to improve
the images I take
underwater.
This site is designed to
provide you with a sample of
pictures taken at the some
of the locations I’ve visited
and also to provide you with
a brief description of the trip,
where I stayed, who I dived
with etc. I hope you enjoy
viewing these pictures as
much as I enjoyed taking
them!
Giant Barracuda
This friendly Barracuda was photographed following a dive on Elbow Reef (City of
Washington wreck) in Key Largo. It appeared during our safety stop and didn’t seem
to be in any hurry to go away!
